Erie Canal Boat Company, Inc. with help from the Village of Fairport, Rochester Center for Disability Rights, Fairport Industrial Development Agency and SportsNet, began work in 2009 on the dock facilities. Improvements to the launch ramp, a new hydrolic lift, and an expanded viewing/seating area will make the village dock accessible to a greater number of people, of all abilities.
